Sunday January 26th is World Leprosy Day. Around Australia, and the world, people like you are taking the opportunity to raise their voices on behalf of those affected by leprosy.
Our theme this year is Salt and Light.
"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:14-16
As an organisation that seeks to follow Jesus in all that we do, churches play an essential role in helping achieve our goal of making leprosy a thing of the past. Partnering with us will set free the lives of women, men, and children and help end leprosy.
Between now and the end of March you, your group, or church, are invited to hold a World Leprosy Sunday event. Use all or part of a service or meeting to shine a light on the needs of people affected by leprosy and the organisations that support them. Will you join us?
