At Christmas, we remember a mother's hope for her child. Today, countless women like Ruby share that same hope, but face barriers that put their health and their family's future at risk.

Ruby was only a baby when her mother developed leprosy and passed away from other health complications. Not long after giving birth to her own daughter came the devastating news: a leprosy diagnosis. The same disease her mother had.

Ruby knows what it’s like to grow up without a mother, and she was terrified her daughter could face the same future.

She is set on changing the story for herself and her daughter. With your compassionate support this Christmas, She Can.

GIVE NOW TO HELP CHANGE HER STORY

In many countries, women may need permission to seek care, are unable to travel alone, or have no access to a female health worker. Many are also caring for children and family members, leaving little time to prioritise their own health.

Too often, these barriers delay diagnosis and treatment, increasing the risk of permanent nerve damage, disability, and loss of opportunities. While women account for 39% of newly detected leprosy cases, experts believe many more remain undiagnosed and without the care they need.

Your gift this Christmas will help women like Ruby change this story, through Train, Reach, Prevent.

$160 helps train female healthcare workers and trusted community leaders to improve access to care and create communities where she can thrive.

$800 helps bring healthcare closer, so she can access health education, identification, treatment and referral.

$300 can help her be diagnosed sooner, through early screening, trustworthy health information and stronger pathways to care.
